Additional Workshops with Gloster Jive & Swing Dance
As part of our teaching schedule, Gloster Jive and Swing Dance promote and run Swing Dance & Lindy Hop workshops. These are generally dancing styles and steps that do not fit within our weekly class structure, Sometimes this is with guest teachers and sometimes Gary and Sara. Our more regular features include a 6 week intense course in Lindy Hop which we call 'The Fast Track', and an annual Lindy Hop weekend workshop called the 'Ryan & Jenny' weekend. We also run occasional individual Swing Dance workshops in Jazz steps , Aeriels, Charleston & Shag e.t.c.

Ideal for fast beginners, anyone who has done some jive before or as a refresher course

Basics Of Lindy Hop Dancing
We will cover the basic steps and shapes, such as:-
Triple Steps, 6 Counts, 8 Counts Swing Outs & the Charleston.

Everyone attending the workshops must book and pay in advance for all eight weeks.

Int / Advanced You've been attending good quality Lindy Hop classes for 2+ years, are confident with Charleston, 6 & 8 counts, and dance socially with partners of all levels.
Advanced You've been attending good quality Lindy Hop classes for 3+ years. You aren't afraid to try things out, and would dance socially with anyone of any standard.
